KCA and Preschool Cancellation

Categories: Bible

Dear KCA Families,

The governor has recently made a recommendation to close Iowa public schools. In light of this announcement, KCA will take the following measures:

1) KCA and its preschool will be in session for a half-day on Monday, March 16. We will dismiss at 11:30. Students will be given a chance to get their textbooks and get guidance from their teachers.

At this time, the governor has not closed daycares. For the convenience of families, we will offer childcare to K-12 families that need it until 3:15 on Monday only.

2) KCA will be on “spring break” from Tuesday, March 17 to Friday, March 27. Students will not be required to submit work and faculty will not be required to attend during most of this time.

3) After Monday, March 30 KCA will begin online learning using Google Classroom and Abeka Academy. We will be communicating with students and teachers how to do this. If the government allows, we may begin limited childcare services.

We know there will be many questions about this. This is a quickly changing situation and we appreciate your support and flexibility.

We trust God that he has a plan in this, and it is a scary time. However, we remember Romans 8:28 that says “we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”

Thank you for your cooperation and support,

Cullen Hartley
